Zakynthos
Zakynthos island or “Fiore di levante” as latins first called it , lies in the eastern part of the Ionian sea.
Apart from the famous beach “Navagio” or “ Shipwreck” , the breathtaking Keri sunset and many more outstanding attractions , Zakynthos island offers you the opportunity to meet the loggerhead sea turtle Carretta-Caretta. In early spring , the turtles migrate from the C.Mediterranean foraging areas to Laganas bay ( N.M.P.Z) to mate and nest on the beaches from mid-May to late August .
