Your will be collected from your accommodation at 8am and drive to the port of Zakynthos. The boat departs at 9.30 am
So begins the journey to the north along the eastern side of the island.
The boat will pass through the area of Kryoneri, the hotel area of Tsilivi and continue its course towards the sandy beaches of Alykanas and Alykes until the cape of Skinari, the northernmost point of the island. Here you can discover the lighthouse and the mountain “Ainos”, the highest mountain on Kefalonia which is 1608 meters above sea level.
After approximately one hour drive you will reach the area of Agios Georgios where the famous “NAVIGIO” is located. This beach has been listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world by “National Geographic”. Its name was inspired by the shipwreck of “Panagiotis” in October 1981. It is a unique beach with impressive white limestone rocks that end up in its turquoise waters, while the debris of the ship half buried in its tiny white pebbles, make it the most beautiful beach on the island. Access to the beach is only by sea.
The boat will anchors close to the beach and you will be able to enjoy swimming and diving in the turquoise waters after the “green light” is given by the ship’s captain. This depends on the weather and the condition of the sea. This stop will take an hour.
After this unique experience, the boat will return via the famous “Blue Caves,” discovered in 1897. The name comes from the shades of blue, something between deep blue and turquoise. It goes without saying that a 30-minute stop for a bathe is required.
Your return to Zakynthos port is expected around 13.30 pm where the coaches will be waiting to take you to your accommodation.
